Utilize Solidworks for the creation of designs and 3D models for both individual parts and large assemblies.
Thoroughly complete tasks with meticulous attention to detail, including the development of detailed prints, Bills of Materials (BOMs), documentations, and procedures.
Collaborate effectively with members of the Engineering, Machine Shop, and Assembly teams within a cross-functional environment.
Emphasize concepts and designs that have the potential for repeatability and standardization, aiming to enhance efficiency, profitability, and minimize errors.
Assembly and functional testing of designs.
Travel to customers’ facilities, as required.
Design and Development of new products methodically (product specifications, material selection, CAD design, detailed product drawings)
Document designs for product support and efficient development of successive product generations
To be able to quickly get up to speed with emerging technical requirements of the production and the design departments
Perform Finite Element Analysis
Coordination with suppliers for sublet work
Develop Quality Control Checks in existing Production Setup
Liaison with team members for improved coordination and workflow with the production department
Highlighting Production Loopholes for Improving Efficiency
Required Skills:
Demonstrate initiative in solving challenging problems
High proficiency in SolidWorks
Capacity to use basic business software (such as Excel) and ERP
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication
Able to communicate clearly to both technical and non-technical people
