Campaign ideation and development to drive the implementation of the PSW communications strategy, stakeholder engagement plan, and information dissemination mechanisms for PSW, including information on objectives, audiences, messages, resources, timescales, tools, and activities.
Produce communication and advocacy instruments and all promotional materials, including briefing materials, press releases, brochures, flyers, and articles, and coordinate their dissemination through effective channels.
Develop and sustain partnerships with internal and external partners for the successful development and execution of PSW’s communications strategy; monitor the media, analyze information, and prepare reports to track outreach, engagement, and growth of coverage across all platforms.
Event planning and management (workshops, trainings, meetings, and seminars), drafting content and key messages using various formats and media, and packaging communication material.
Implement awareness and adoption strategy geared towards external stakeholders (business community and OGAs).
Build and maintain an editorial calendar for communications content development, including social media/press releases/articles/blog posts, etc.
Build strong relationships and networks with relevant stakeholders (traders, OGAs, etc.) and the public to improve brand image and perception.
Develop user-friendly and high-quality Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) material (such as handouts, posters, brochures, video documentary films, and photo documentation, success stories booklet, etc.) in Urdu and English for the communication of PSW activities.
Develop communication tools such as newsletters, newswires, and digital check-ins to promote ownership, brand loyalty, and effective communications across PSW.
Media Engagement:
Implement regular press/media engagement activities to ensure high visibility of PSW and various activities.
Leverage your own network with journalists and media organizations to seek long-term support with PSW’s external communications objectives.
Support the Communications Manager with the implementation of press/media, including digital media interventions, to ensure visibility and branding of the organization through Print and Electronic media at the local, National, and Regional levels through National and International mediums, Newspapers, and Wire Services.
Development of new content for PSW digital media platforms.
Keep informed on the latest industry communication tools through constant upgrading of qualifications and skills.
Content Management:
Supervise regular content updates on the PSW website, Tradeverse, Port Community System (PCS), and other PSW portals.
Implement procedures for regular exchange of information between PSW, Customs, and Other Government Agencies (OGAs) for keeping the content updated at all public sites/portals.
Ensure all PSW content is properly proofread and edited, and drive consistency in communication style and language across all areas of the business.
Supervision and Coordination:
Use strong writing, editing, layout, and design skills to supervise and work with creative and support resources assigned to the department - social media specialist, graphic designer, and communications officers.
Work with the Communications Manager to coordinate with media partners, advertising agencies, production houses, and other teams engaged by PSW.
Assist marketing management in the development of the communications strategy.
Supervise content planning and posting for PSW’s digital platforms to ensure timely and relevant updates.
Provide support and guidance for smaller PSW affiliates.
